The American Public Health Association Vision Care Section Awards Committee is now accepting nominations for the following 2019 APHA VCS Awards which will be presented at the 147th APHA Annual Meeting and Exposition, November 2-6 in Philadelphia.

Distinguished Service Award and Distinguished Student Service Award:
These two awards are the highest honor the VCS can bestow and is presented to a person, institution, or group who has made an outstanding or demonstrated continual high-quality service in public health and vision care. One of these awards will be presented to a student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of nomination.

Outstanding Scientific Paper Project Award : Recognizes an individual, group, or institution that has contributed significantly to the advancement of vision care in the public health field.

Morton W. Silverman Outstanding Student Paper/Project Award: Recognizes a student or group of students that have significantly contributed to the advancement of vision care in the public health field in the form of published (or publishable) work from the perspective of a student in optometry, medicine, public health or related health professions program.
